Tonight I was checking on Ledisi’s new CD, “Turn Me Loose” and started to fall in love. It was just me and Pookie Black, chilling as we do, and right as I thought of; he called. The one who owns my heart. Right at that moment Ledisi started singing a song called “Love Never Changes”. It’s as real as that gets. Couldn’t have planned that at all… Well this isn’t about me and him, it’s more about the energies we share. The energies we give and receive with one another, friends past and future, family and lovers. Sharing our day and our new dreams. We started talking about the what if. It was very clear that we both were very happy in the place GOD has placed us. It’s funny that we both felt some what the same about where we are today in life and how things are very good and getting better. Acknowledging that we have both made the right moves at the right time. Giving thanks for the people around us right now. Our friends and families. And how if we would have went another path, it couldn’t and wouldn’t be this. But also being ok with recognizing that it could have or may have been that… In any case, it was a great conversation. After we got off the phone I started to think. What if I had stayed in L.A. one more month, Atlanta, a few more weeks? What if I auditioned one more time? What if I signed the contract? What would have happen? Only GOD knows, and he knew I needed to be right here writing this note to who ever reads it. Be happy about your journey, and keep sharing your energy. It’s what people need. I know I needed it tonight. Thank you….

Today is “my day off”, and I’m working on the “WE ARE HEROES” Workshop going down at the studio. I think it ‘s going to be a great turn out. I had to go through a little bit to make it happen because the group is “Celebrity Stars” now. I’m hoping they bring the pain, because I not really getting into them yet. It’s a little young to me, however, Nichelle is one of the girls. And Nichelle is one of the wonderful dancers who came through the Diamond/Sparkle Program at my studio. At first I just wanted to give her a Party and show her some LOVE from her NSM family. We thought a cool workshop would be great for the other kids. Of course it went from come do a small workshop at the studio to, it’s going to cost $$$$.$$ for them to show up… Understandable, so let’s just stick to the party. NSM is a little small home grown Hip Hop Dance studio in Oakland. But we worked something out for the girls. J But now, they may have to leave early for a show that just got booked at 9pm. Hummmmm, that’s a tuff one for Nichelle. Have a party with the studio that help me get this far and supported me for years or cut short a class and not have a party that that has been planned and paid for, and do a 2 minutes show right in SF. Let’s see how this one turns out. I know what I would do, but I’m not the Celebrity working in my 15 minutes…
